On Friday mornings during Reading time, Mrs. Douglass and the 4th graders come down to read with/to us and help us get dressed to go outside! Sometimes the 4th graders bring books they selected and sometimes the Kindergarteners choose books from the classroom book bins or from their individual book boxes. All the students enjoy this time together!
In Yellow Folders today….SCHOLASTIC BOOK FLYERS! One has a variety of books for all age levels and stapled to back is the Kindergarten flyer. Any time you purchase books from Scholastic and use our class code, we get points that are used to buy books and supplies for the classroom! Our code is P6X39. You can order online or send a check or money to school and I will take care of the rest! Please get your Holiday orders in by this Friday, December 13th. I cannot guarantee the orders will be in before Christmas vacation BUT I am happy to deliver items when they arrive! We can work something out!
The Kindergarteners have been working hard on their circus act for this coming Friday night! Please be sure to let Josh know if you and your child are unable to attend. Kindergarteners need to wear either PINK, GRAY OR WHITE for their act. Please see the handout that went home in Yellow Folders today! One side is shown below.
The Student Council has announced we will be having a Spirit Day this Friday, December 6th. Students may bring in money to purchase snacks from the 4th graders before school begins and everyone is encouraged to wear mismatched clothing!
The White Elephant Sale is this Friday. Kindergarteners will be going during their Library time to “shop” for family members. A form went home several weeks ago that explained what the White Elephant Sale is and on the flip side it had a blank list for families to write the names and ages of the people in the household they would like their child to “shop” for. This list is going home again today- PLEASE look for it in the Yellow Folder, fill it out and send it in tomorrow! The suggested donation for each present is 25₵. Thank you and Happy Holidays!
The K kiddos wrote in their writing journals about what they are thankful for. Here are a couple of their entries:
